Mac Attack 4/11: Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio calls in to talk to the guys about Bobby Petrino, Bill Parcells, whether or not the Panthers can trade down, and weigh in on who the greatest Panther ever is.

Florio posted on his Pro Football Talk blog that the language of the contract and the manner in which the Arkansas legal systems interprets the contract about his firing from the University of Arkansas.

According to Florio, we shouldn’t doubt Bill Parcells not going to coach the New Orleans Saints.  But based on past history and following the guidelines of the Rooney Rule interviewing minorities for the coaching vacancy, he says that the team still can hire Parcells even if he said no to the job in public.  The Mac Attack also brings up some other guys that are up for the Saints’ coaching vacancy.

Concerning the NFL Draft, Florio thinks it is ‘extraordinary’ that a team like the Washington Redskins would trade up, lose 3 first round picks, and 2nd round pick just to get Robert Griffin III without him having any NFL experience…but ignore someone in free agency like Mike Wallace.

The Mac Attack believes that this year is setting up to be the best in many years, but Florio mentions that criticism from every defensive, unsafe play could view the sport in a negative light.
