Our Orthodox Christian prophets foretold this: “Children will be so evil that even the demons will tremble!” We have the results of at least 2 generations of complete godlessness in our country: Christians have failed to take action to address the war against Christ in schools and universities. Our Republican (even conservatives) lack the force of their convictions to filibuster, amend, stop with Congressional actions available to minorities, this “Train Wreck” going on in the WH. “Good men do nothing” while evil in marxist ideology and Muslim President rush forward to do all they can to destroy our Nation and its people. God help us and give us the courage to act not just “wring our hands” like the Congress is so apt to do! Stand up, Tea Party people, and take action against mediocre, emotionally weak candidates (Romney and Santorum) who cannot answer adequately the President’s political machine and lies spoken every time he opens his mouth (and sycophants).

Think about this, you want Christ in the schools right? Who gets to chose WHICH version of Christianity is taught in the Schools? Catholicism? Protestantism? Evangelism? Mormonism? Baptism?

Who says YOUR version is the right one the government should be teaching all the children? For that matter, now that we’ve hypothetically opened this Pandora’s Box, why Christianity? Why not Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, or Wicca?

Do you see where this leads? There isn’t a war to keep Christianity out of schools, there’s a war to keep RELIGION out of schools because you create situation that completely defies the constitution and what it’s architects had in mind. You create a de-facto religion of the state.

I pray religious extremists like you will come to understand what I’m trying to point out here, but I don’t hold my breath either.

Wyrd, what do you mean by “rehabilitated?” Are you admitting that the child was at one time a normal child with normal love for her family but SOMETHING was so serious in her young life that she reached out in rage to the one who could have helped her by giving some comfort and loving attention to the 9 yr old than she gave to her own interests, like her newspaper. She could have comforted her grandchild by going to the bedroom with her, tucking her in and reading a child’s book to her and talking to see what was troubling her, helping her calm down and get sleepy. Good parents and those dealing with children KNOW that.
And, yes, I am saying that the provocateur grandma should be punished for disregarding, humiliating, frustrating, and forcing the child to react with anger. The woman knew what she was doing to the child. Likely not the first time the woman abused the child. People who do not protect and love children and do not attend to the child’s needs first when in a position of responsibility for children, are simply rotten. No excuses.
A power bully who needs to be restrained from being with the child, or put through anti-bullying training. Children are suffering in our country from no parenting, from false education, from social mistreatment, and no one really cares. Tell you what, when today’s parents hit the “golden years” they will spend them in nursing homes, and not with the kids they are raising and ignoring. Those parents’ days are coming.

There are people who live steeped in ignorance and bigotry. They would blame everyone else for the dismal state of their own lives. Constantly able to find fault in others, they will lurk on internet message boards spreading their “truth” to people whether they want to hear it or not. It’s likely this is a necessary part of their lives, as they probably suffer from a lack of attention. Avoid these people at all costs, they will drag you down into the depths of despair, cynicism, paranoia, and ignorance just so they have some company.

Yes Alfred, in other words, they are Obama voters! The filthy parasites and leaches that live off us live like jungle animals.

While I agree that socialism is a bad thing, it doesn’t lead toward people acting crazy. No matter what the economic situation is a person can still have mental problems. I know many wealthy families with problem children. I am not wealthy, but I refuse to use public service and I work hard. One of my children has emotional issues that probably come from a few jerk kids in the neighborhood who make fun of him because they have more than he does as well as a few other things. Environment can be an issue, but not always.

That made no sense at all. I have spent plenty of time up past 2 am, and I’ve never had children, or taken money from the gov., i’m happily married and happily liberal. just like the majority of liberals. People coming over from the drudge report need to grow up, every time they post a story someone like Alfred comes along and just goes completely off of topic and spouts talking points. this is why i so rarely go into comments, because we can’t have a civil discourse, only name calling
