GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Police in Greensboro say a 102-year-old man shot and wounded his 84-year-old wife before killing himself.
Authorities said in a statement that officers responded to a report of shots being fired at a home on the northeast side of the city around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, they found Theodore Delano Larkin Jr. dead at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot. Police said Gloria Laurette Larkin was suffering from gunshot wounds, and was taken by ambulance to Moses Cone Hospital where her condition is described as non-life threatening.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting and are continuing to look into the incident.
