Mac Attack 1/24/12: CBS and NFL Network analyst Solomon Wilcots joined the guys to discuss the Pats-Giants in the Super Bowl, and for his thoughts on the rookie season that Cam Newton had.
Solomon thinks the critisim of Joe Flacco needs to stop. He played lights out and did things on Sunday that even Tom Brady couldn’t do. He was not the reason the Ravens didn’t advance to the Super Bowl, Baltimore needs to find out other reasons why they cant back to the big game.
Solomon feels that even though the Patriots defense has played better lately, they still dont have enough on that side of the ball to slow down the Giants. The Giants have already played against the defense in football (49ers) so the Pats defense should not be a challenge for them at all.
In regards to the Panthers, he feels we will see a huge improvement from the Panthers defense next year with less injuries and a another year in Ron Rivera’s system. Solomon also expresses how excited he is that Cam Newton will being playing in the Pro Bowl this weekend.
