QUOTE OF THE WEEK: “I still feel Duke and UNC are the class of the ACC, regardless of what has happened the past two weeks.” – T-Bone (@TBoneWFNZ) from the Mac Attack right here on WFNZ 610 AM from 6-10am every morning.
MY THOUGHTS: I agree with my buddy T-Bone. Even after both Duke loses at home to FSU and UNC lost by 33 to them, the Blue Devils and Tarheels are still the best teams in the league. The Heels losing Dexter Strickland to an ACL tear doesn’t help, but there is enough talent on the team to keep them near or at the top. Don’t get me wrong, the Seminoles are decent and will make some noise, but they won’t finish in the top 2 in the conference this season. Continue to keep your eyes on NC State. This is a big week for them and if they can go 2-0 (beating UNC andVirginia) voters will have no choice but to put them in the top 25.
IN OTHER NEWS: Congrats to Murray State for going 20-0, the last unbeaten team in the NCAA and cracking the top 10. I see no reason why the Racers can’t win out in the OVC and have a truly memorable season for the school. On a side note, R.I.P. Joe Paterno.
