Mac Attack 1/16/12: Sporting News analyst Russ Lande talks NFL Draft and possible Panther targets  with Mac and Jim on the Mac Attack.

Russ thinks Dre Kirkpatrick would be a solid choice for the Panthers with the 8th or 9th pick. There are only 2 corners that really standout in the top half of the first round, so you may have to take a guy a few spots higher than you normally would.

In terms of defensive tackles, Russ thinks Devon Still  from Penn State is a guy to keep an eye on for the Panthers. He is athletic, can explode off the ball, and can chase plays down in pursuit. He would be an immediate upgrade at d-tackle and  would help the outside pass rush because he can cause double teams.

Mac and Jim at the end of the interview bring Russ in on the Dwight Jones/Alshon Jeffrey debate from last week. Russ says you would get more quickness and big play ability after the catch with Dwight Jones.
