In the 1980′s Terry Bollea became Hulk Hogan in the then WWF and with his trademark saying “Train, say your prayers, and eat your vitamins” soon the red and yellow swept the world with Hulkamania and he became a six time WWF World Champion.
However since week 5 of the current NFL season, a new phenomenon has swept the nation: Tebowmania! After replacing Kyle Orton as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow has grown as a sports and pop culture icon. He has led the Broncos to several come from behind wins and fans all over the world are mimicking his pregame prayer stance. His unorthodox style of play is questioned by many (most recently the Chicago Bears defense) but no one can argue his will to win, his leadership, and his faith. While his passing skills and arm strength may not equal a big leg drop to his opponents, the Denver defense is body-slamming offenses enough to keep the game close until Tim ‘Tebows-up’ and finishes with a school boy roll-up.
With the big man on his side, who’s to say he won’t become a multi-time champion like the Hulkster? Not me. For now I will train, say my prayers, eat my vitamins, and believe in the power of Tebowmania!
