Hey sports fans, Daniel, Bruce and Chris here with our picks for the NFL slate this weekend. We’re going to keep track of these for bragging rights, so we’ll keep you updated each week with who’s in the lead and who doesn’t know as much as they think they may.
So here’s the standing after our week ten picks. Bruce had the best record at 10-4, while Chris and Daniel were tied with 9-5. As for the overalls, Bruce is still in the lead at 72-40, followed by Chris at 70-42 and Daniel is just behind them at 69-43. Here are our picks for week eleven.
Bruce started his Thanksgiving Holiday early, and forgot to mail in his picks. So he will be “mailing” in the competition now much to the delight of Chris and Daniel.
Thanksgiving Day Games
Packers @ Lions: No surprise, Chris and Daniel both like the Pack to get it done, and Aaron Rogers to win the “Galloping Gobbler” award.
Dolphins @ Cowboys: We both like Romo and the ‘Boys to put an end to the “red-hot” Miami Dolphins.
49ers @ Ravens: Chris will take the surging 49ers, while Daniel will go with the Ravens at home in the Harbaugh Bowl.
Sunday 1:00 Games
Panthers @ Colts: There’s no way we can lose to the Colts right? We both like Cam and the Cats to get the win in Indy.
Vikings @ Falcons: We both like the Falcons to get the win over Ponder and a Vikings team likely without Adrian Peterson.
Browns @ Bengals: We both will take the Red Rifle and the Bengals at home.
Buccaneers @ Titans: We both like the Bucs on the road.
Cardinals @ Rams: No surprises here, we both like the Cardinals to get the win in St Louis.
Bills @ Jets: With the news of Fred Jackson being shelved and the recent play of Ryan Fitzpatrick, we both will take the J-E-T-S to get the win at home.
Texans @ Jaguars: Chris will take the Jags at home, while Daniel will look for the Matt Leinart led Texans to do just enough on defense and the ground.
Bears @ Raiders: We both like the Silver and Black at home over the Cutlerless Bears.
Redskins @ Seahawks: We both like the Seahawks to soar above the struggling Skins.
Patriots @ Eagles: We’re both taking the Patriots in the rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX
Broncos @ Chargers: Chris is taking the Broncos and some Tebow magic again, while Daniel still isn’t buying the Tebow hype.
Sunday Night Football
Steelers @ Chiefs: No surprises here, did you see Tyler Palko play on Monday? Even if the newly acquired Kyle Orton starts, we both like the Steelers to get the win at Arrowhead.
Monday Night Football
Giants @ Saints: Chris will take the G-Men on the road to rebound from a disappointing loss to the Eagles, while Daniel will look for Brees and the Saints to get it done at home.
Chris’ Fantasy Picks
Start: Marshawn Lynch: Running Back, Seattle Seahawks: Look he has a touchdown in four straight games. That trend will continue this week and I don’t think the Redskins are going to stop him much at all this week. Washington is traveling all the way across the country and a team going from the east coast to west coast always have a let down.
Sit: Torrey Smith: Wide Receiver, Baltimore Ravens: Despite having such a huge game last week, 6 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown, don’t expect much Thursday night. The 49ers boast one of the best defenses on the league, Flacco and the Ravens offense will have a tough time on Turkey Day. Smith is the ultimate type of feast or famine player and while the rest of the country is feasting he will be famishing on the field.
Sleeper: He had a nice fantasy day against the Giants last Sunday despite his 3 picks. If you are in a pinch at quarterback Young could be a decent fill in against the New England defense who is ranked 30th in the league against opposing quarterbacks.
Daniel’s Fantasy Picks
Start: Cederic Benson: Running Back, Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals are hosting the Browns on Sunday, which means good things for Benson. In his last five games against Cleveland, Benson has three contests with 15 or more fantasy points. The Browns are shaky in run defense, and have allowed nine opposing running backs to score double digit fantasy points. Start Benson with confidence.
Sit: Matt Moore: Quarterback, Miami Dolphins: Moore has become somewhat of a hot commodity in fantasy play. Ever since a Dreadful Monday night performance against the Jets, he’s turned his (and the Dolphins) season around, with a 7-2 touchdown to interception ratio. Once contenders for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes, Moore has the Dolphins with three consecutive wins and is coming off a three touchdown performance. So why sit him? Every time he’s been forced to throw over 25 passes he’s struggled. Look for the Dallas defense (which is much better at home) to shut down Bush and the Dolphins running game, forcing the Fish to go to the air.
Sleeper: Jonathan Stewart: Running Back, Carolina Panthers: This one should be obvious, Indianapolis is DREADFUL on defense, especially against the run. The Colts are one of only two teams that the Panthers run defense can say they’re better then, allowing 145 yards per game on the ground compared to the 140 the Cats allow. While Stewart isn’t the starter, he was more involved in the offense last week both in the running game, and with the screen passes that went his way. Look for Stewart to put together a great day on Sunday against the Colts, with 150 or so all purpose yards and a touchdown.
We want to wish everyone happy and safe Thanksgiving, and of course, enjoy the games!
