DUKE Goes Down To Desert Swarm Arizona In The Sweet 16

Arizona v Duke

For the ninth time in 12 years, Duke has lost in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Arizona’s Derrick Williams single-handedly destroyed the Blue Devils, 93-77 in the Regional; semi-finals in Anaheim. Arizona looks like they could’ve played a double header against Blake Griffin & the Clippers and probably have beaten them.

What happened to the Defending National Champions? Did Duke really MISS Brian Zoubek, Lance Thomas, and Jon Scheyer that much? The soon-to-be All-Time Winningest Coach in College Basketball History Mike Kryzewski; the 2011 ACC Player of the Year Nolan Smith; & The Most Outstanding Player in LAST Year’s NCAA Tournament Kyle Singler left their hearts in Durham and their games in Indianapolis.

Duke got outplayed, out-hustled, out-manned, emasculated, undressed, embarrassed, & dare I say OUT-COACHED by the upstart Cats and their bright young coach Sean Miller. From a man whom is synonymous with NCAA Tournament success like Kryzewski, it is rare for Duke to get out-coached. Arizona’s Williams might have catapulted Duke’s freshman sensation Kyrie Irving as the #1 Pick in the Draft. He was clearly a MAN amongst BOYS (The Plumlees, Singler, & Ryan Kelly).

This is what makes “March Madness” Amazing & Unbelievable. The sudden Finality of storied Four-year careers by a couple seniors like Smith & Singler. Last season, they were cutting down the nets before Jim Nantz said the words “One Shining Moment”. Now, it’s ALL OVER.
