Pro Bowl Equals Big Time Ratings!
Proving once again that football is king in the heart’s and soul’s of American’s country-wide, the annual NFL all-star game, the Pro-Bowl, drew its highest rating since 2000 with a 7.7 rating and a 12 share on FOX! The 7.7 rating represents the percentage of all homes with televisions tuning into the Pro Bowl and the 12 share represents the percentage of all homes with TVs in use at that time (7 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST).
Yes it was below average football. Yes, there was no tackling. And NO there was no defense being played. despite all that, we worship football every Sunday! No matter who is playing. No matter what the game means, exhibition or for all the marbles in the Super Bowl, we American’s can not get enough of the pigskin on Sunday’s! It’s our life blood and I dread next Monday when the Super Bowl is over and we won’t get an NFL Sunday for 6 months. And with the CBA agreement looming large, we may not see football for one full year! GOD HELP US!
