Kevin Durant Announces Jordan Brand Classic To Be Held In Charlotte
Oklahoma City Thunder phenom Kevin Durant announced before his basketball game tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats that Time Warner Cable Arena will host the 2011 Jordan Brand Classic on Saturday, April 16th. Kevin Durant was the 2006 co-Most Valuable Player of the Jordan Brand Classic. The 2011 Jordan Brand Classic will feature the nations’ top prep players in a National Game, a Regional Game featuring high school players from North Carolina in an East/West matchup, and an International Game with the top 17-and-under players from around the world.
This game will mark the 10th anniversary of the Jordan Brand Classic Tournament, which in previous years has been held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Alumni from previous games have been Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Amar’e Stoudemire.
The All-American Team for the 2011 Jordan Brand Classic will be announced in February.
